The Gilev Band was established in 1995 as a vibrant keyboard/vocal duo with a great stage appearance and a refreshingly modern approach. Overwhelming attraction to the act was attributed to its natural energy, charm & unique versatility. The funky duo offered the very best selection of a totally diverse music range, performed with an authentic vibe. Today, Gilev is a sensational 12-15 Piece ShowBand with more than 9 years of successful performing experience, catering extensively to a variety of high profile audiences on both the private and corporate party circuit worldwide. The Band appears regularly at London's top hotels and venues as well as those across the UK and internationally within Europe, Israel, and the USA. The eclectic make up of the band enables them to provide an array of authentic cultural feature acts. From the rhythm and songs of the African tribes to the sophisticated sounds of the salsa vibe and the harmonies of the middle eastern orient - the Gilev Band covers it all.

Each performance is tailored to the occasion and its audience. An exciting and energetic show includes an array of carefully selected music to appeal to every taste in accordance with personal client choice. Feature performances by talented entertainers of the highest calibre encourage audience interaction and ensure a full dance floor at all times. The central ingredients of dynamism, glamour, dazzling presentation, vibrant energy, and raw talent culminates in an explosive show. The band does not employ the use of any pre-recorded backing tracks. All acts are 100% live and spontaneous. State of the art sound equipment and a dedicated engineering team ensure that the bands sound is skilfully controlled to an optimum standardLevi worked in bands and choirs at school, which inevitably led to one of the most critical unions of his life - his music and business partner Jonathan Gilbert. Levi's appealing voice and Jonathan's keyboard skills came together over a GCSE music project. The result was a duo named "Gilev". As Gilev grew from strength to strength, Levi's capacity as a natural band leader shone through on stage. This was clear from both a performance perspective with his natural energy, showmanship and powerful voice, to the management of the band (now a 14 piece core), through to the preparation and arrangement of the ever changing and fresh variety of music. Levi's voice received early interest from the commercial record industry. It was described as incredibly versatile and was given vocal comparisons to artists such as Neil Diamond & George Michael. In addition to the success and expansion of his band, Levi has been involved in regular recording sessions on various projects working with top producers such as Trevor Horn at Sarm Studios. Amongst these was a recent session for the demo song of the 2004 Olympic Games. Levi has a wealth of experience singing worldwide and has the ability to please multi- cultural audiences in several languages including Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Italian, Yiddish and English. Throughout the years, his musical understanding has been moulded by many styles of music - soul, Middle Eastern, jazz, big-band swing, Latin, E. European and klezmer. These influences have helped him to become extremely flexible and cultured in his singing capacity. In addition to his role as singer and band leader of one of the most successful show bands in the UK, Levi is in the initial planning stages of recording his debut solo album, a creative idea that has been growing for many years. Hardly slept yet, totally knackered but didn't want to phone, say well done and take the easy way out!! It was a magnificent effort. You know I was nervous beforehand and, by now from the few occasions we've met you are aware that I am paranoid about detail and always think I know the perfect solution, what's best and worry about leaving things to the experts. You and the team clearly are "the experts" and our party benefited from it. The atmosphere that you helped create was superb and so many people commented on the fact that it was the best band performance they'd ever seen and heard. Thanks very much indeed for helping to make our occasion the success we believe it was. It was absolutely bloody marvellous and in the main due to Gilev. All the best for the future. On cloud 9.

At last the phone has stopped ringing and I have a minute to write you a message! We were absolutely thrilled with your Showband on Sunday, and so was everyone else! Honestly, Jonny, if it's possible, it was even better than we expected, and both Robert and I feel you surpassed yourselves! Every single thing we asked for, you did.... and this doesn't always happen, I can assure you! What we loved was that nothing was too much trouble, and so those little touches, like the "Sky" music and the "Spiderman" song really made a difference, thanks to your efforts to get hold of them and play them at the right time too! Practically every phone call has heaped praise on Gilev and how wonderful it was! The atmosphere was sensational, Jonny, and much of that was down to the Band.

I loved the music during the meal, and it WASN'T TOO LOUD!!!!!! (Many of the songs chosen were my late parents' favourites, and I so loved hearing them on such a poignant day). I even enjoyed the Israeli dancing, which didn't go on too long thank goodness! As for the "real" dance music, it was nothing short of fabulous, a really stunning sound and you could see how everyone just loved every minute. Finally, I have to admit that you were right about the lighting! I was so scared we'd lose the effect of those beautiful chandeliers, but that gorgeous lighting effect made you look upwards at the ceiling and surroundings, and yes, it really worked. Now I'm waiting for the video to see it all over again and I know when I do, I'll just love seeing your band perform. The whole simcha was absolutely wonderful and we're all on Cloud 9 and staying there for quite a while!!! Thanks again, Jonny, for everything, and I wish you and the Band every success in all your future endeavours..... Where can I begin? Anouska & Joshua's wedding last Sunday was the most fantastic, memorable, emotional and wonderful experience for them and for us and I thank you and the whole Gilev Showband for everything that you did. Your entire performance, from beginning to end was slick, smooth, wonderfully balanced and presented and, in a word, fantastic. All our guests have commented on how great the band were and how you made the evening very special for us.
