What a band! You made our night there is absolutely no doubt about it.
I left it to my daughter and son-in-law to choose the band for their wedding, they said although they had not seen Gilev they had heard from their friends that they were the best.. well there is not one of our wedding guests who would disagree with that.
Everyone who spoke to me asked me who the band were and where they were from. They were completely mesmerized with the amazing voices of the band and during the meal it was fantastic when they sang from the dance floor. I cannot count how many people said it was like going to a concert. My borther asked if you had a CD, he just wanted to listen to the band over and over again.
People were heard talking about the band in the lobby of the hotel, even the staff of the Queens Hotel told me they had never heard a band like it before – and there has been many weddings and barmitzvas held there.
The dance floor was never empty, the atmosphere you created was amazing, the music you played was sensational – everyone just wanted to dance – you were fantastic!
I planned the whole wedding around the date you had available (I really wanted the following Sunday as it is my parents wedding anniversary but you were booked) and it was without doubt the best decision I made.
Thank you and rest of the amazing Gilev Showband and when you get a record together please let me know, because you have a huge fan club here in Leeds.

Having seen The Gilev Showband at my sisters wedding 2.5 years ago, we knew we wanted you for our wedding. We were amazed by how brilliant the band were then, and with new singers and an expanded repertoire there is no other way to put it, at our wedding on the 4th December 2005 Gilev were outstanding. All the entertainers sung their hearts out and the whold band put in 200%.
The whole night was one big highlight but if we had to pick two high points they would have to be ‘Word Up’ & ‘Hey ya’!
It was amazing to see how your music transcended the different generations at the wedding, with our friends, our parents friends and our grandparents all singing along, dancing and waiving their arms to the same songs.
You made the evening part of our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be – one big party where people didn’t leave the dance floor. Thank you.

Hardly slept yet, totally knackered but didn't want to phone, say well done and take the easy way out!! It was a magnificent effort. You know I was nervous beforehand and, by now from the few occasions we've met you are aware that I am paranoid about the wedding's detail and always think I know the perfect solution, what's best and worry about leaving things to the experts. You and the team clearly are "the wedding experts" and our party benefited from it. The atmosphere that you helped create was superb and so many people commented on the fact that it was the best wedding band performance they'd ever seen and heard. Thanks very much indeed for helping to make our occasion the success we believe it was. It was absolutely bloody marvellous and in the main due to Gilev. All the best for the future. On cloud 9.

At last the phone has stopped ringing and I have a minute to write you a message! We were absolutely thrilled with your Show band on Sunday, and so was everyone else! Honestly, Jonny, if it's possible, it was even better than we expected, and both Robert and I feel you surpassed yourselves! Every single thing we asked for, you did.... and this doesn't always happen, I can assure you! What we loved was that nothing was too much trouble, and so those little touches, like the "Sky" music and the "Spiderman" song really made a difference, thanks to your efforts to get hold of them and play them at the right time too! Practically every phone call has heaped praise on Gilev and how wonderful it was! The atmosphere was sensational, Jonny, and much of that was down to the Wedding Band.
I loved the music during the meal, and it WASN'T TOO LOUD!!!!!! (Many of the songs chosen were my late parents' favourites, and I so loved hearing them on such a poignant day). I even enjoyed the Israeli dancing, which didn't go on too long thank goodness! As for the "real" dance music, it was nothing short of fabulous, a really stunning sound and you could see how everyone just loved every minute. Finally, I have to admit that you were right about the lighting! I was so scared we'd lose the effect of those beautiful chandeliers, but that gorgeous lighting effect made you look upwards at the ceiling and surroundings, and yes, it really worked. Now I'm waiting for the video to see it all over again and I know when I do, I'll just love seeing your wedding band perform. The whole simcha was absolutely wonderful and we're all on Cloud 9 and staying there for quite a while!!! Thanks again, Jonny, for everything, and I wish you and the Wedding Band every success in all your future endeavours..... I know you'll go from strength to strength, and I only hope your own wedding is as nice as ours was!!! With warmest wishes. P.S. Where can I begin? Anouska & Josh’s wedding last Sunday was the most fantastic, memorable, emotional and wonderful experience for them and for us and I thank you and the whole Gilev Show band for everything that you did. Your entire performance, from beginning to end was slick, smooth, wonderfully balanced and presented and, in a word, fantastic. All our guests have commented on how great the wedding band were and how you made the evening very special for us. I will of course not hesitate to recommend Gilev to anyone who is looking for a showband but, frankly, very little recommendation is needed.
A special thanks also from me personally for your patience and guidance which enabled me to fulfil the dream I have had for many years of singing to my daughter on her wedding day. Perry & I cannot thank you enough for the fantastic performance from all of you on Sunday. From the moment our guests arrived with you and the flautist playing, Levi at the Ceremony, through the reception, to the fantastic music and entertainment during dinner and dancing - you were all brilliant. I also want to thank you personally for the tremendous input on the lighting and sound and your helpfulness in putting the whole event together - the time and effort you made in the days leading up to the wedding to make sure every aspect came together were very much appreciated.
